This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website (payecalculatornz.nz) and use our mobile applications — "PAYE Calculator NZ" on iOS (Apple App Store) and "PAYE Calculator NZ" on Android (Google Play Store) — collectively referred to as "our Services". Our Services are operated by Black Sheep Media Ltd, New Zealand.

2.1 Website — Analytics Data

2.2 Website — Contact Form Data

When you submit a query through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is only used to respond to your inquiry and is not shared or retained long-term.

2.3 Website — Advertising Data

Our website displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense may collect data such as cookies, IP address, browser information, and interaction data to deliver relevant ads. You can manage your ad personalisation preferences at adssettings.google.com.

2.4 Mobile Apps (iOS & Android) — Advertising Data

Both our iOS and Android apps display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following data to deliver relevant ads:

• Device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android)
• IP address
• General location data (city or region level, not precise GPS)
• App usage and interaction data
• Device type, operating system, and screen size
• Ad interaction data (impressions, taps)

2.5 iOS App — App Tracking Transparency

On iOS 14.5 and later, our app requests your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", AdMob will only serve non-personalised ads and no cross-app tracking will occur. You can change this setting at any time in your iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

2.6 Android App — Advertising ID

On Android, our app may access your device's Advertising ID to serve personalised ads through Google AdMob. You can opt out of personalised advertising by going to Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" (or Settings → Privacy → Ads on newer Android versions). If you opt out, AdMob will only serve non-personalised ads.

2.7 Mobile Apps — In-App Purchases

Both our iOS and Android apps offer a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. On iOS, this transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. On Android, it is processed by Google through Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information, credit card details, or account credentials. Purchase records are managed by Apple and Google respectively under their own privacy policies.

Our Android app requests the following permissions:

• INTERNET — required to load advertisements from Google AdMob
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to check network availability before loading ads
• AD_ID — to access the Android Advertising ID for serving relevant ads

No other permissions are requested. We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, or any other sensitive device data.

The data collected through Google Analytics on our website helps us understand how visitors use the site, allowing us to improve our content and user experience. Advertising data collected through Google AdSense on our website and Google AdMob in our iOS and Android apps is used solely to serve relevant advertisements. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

Our website uses cookies for website traffic analysis through Google Analytics and for serving advertisements through Google AdSense. You can disable cookies through your browser settings if you prefer not to be tracked. You can also manage your ad personalisation preferences at adssettings.google.com. We do not retain any personally identifiable information on our own servers. Google Analytics and Google AdMob data is stored according to Google's data retention policies. In-app purchase records are maintained by Apple (for iOS) and Google (for Android) respectively. Calculation data entered in the apps is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
